PROBEMART offers GMW CPCO/CPC clamp-on (split-core) Hall-effect current sensors, which can measure AC/DC currents from 0 to 16000 A and DC to 50 kHz, with an overall measurement accuracy of 1%. They are mainly used for current testing of electric vehicles, motors, PV inverters, variable-frequency drives, battery charging/discharging, electromagnetic actuators, etc. They can usually be used for testing with various power analyzers, recorders, data acquisition units, and oscilloscopes.

The Hall-effect current transformer measures the DC component based on the magnetic-balance Hall effect principle and the AC component based on the magnetic induction principle: when a current C is passed into the control current terminals of the Hall element and a magnetic field with magnetic flux density B is applied in the direction normal to the plane of the Hall element, a potential VH is generated perpendicular to the current and the magnetic field (i.e., between the Hall output terminals), which is called the Hall potential and is proportional to the control current. Hall-effect current probes are particularly suitable for high-precision AC+DC measurement scenarios.
