Motor Efficiency and Electrical Parameter Evaluation

Source: Probemart 2023-08-18 Views: 1590

Electric motors power vehicles, manufacturing, buildings and public utilities - the 'heart' of the modern economy - and high-efficiency models save 20-30% of the energy used by standard ones. Motor efficiency testing verifies energy consumption and conversion efficiency by measuring running voltage and current and computing power and efficiency. Danisense, Hangzhi, Cybertek and HIOKI offer current sensors for every tier of motor efficiency testing.

Key features

1. Danisense offers zero-flux current sensors from a minimum of 50 A to more than 20000 A (20 kA), with extremely high performance specifications and stability. These include: linearity ≤1 ppm, bandwidth DC–1 MHz, annual stability as low as 0.4 ppm/year, temperature stability as low as 0.03 ppm/°C, etc.

2. Hangzhi Precision is currently the only domestic manufacturer capable of providing a full range of fluxgate products. It can provide zero-flux current sensors from a minimum of 50 A to more than 20000 A (20 kA), with extremely high performance specifications and stability. The maximum frequency is 700 kHz, and the linearity of its AIT series products is better than

3. CYBERTEK current sensors are independently developed in China, featuring extremely simple use and installation, excellent cost-effectiveness, high safety, high stability, and high accuracy. Their exceptionally high cost-effectiveness makes them particularly suitable for industrial fields such as motor testing, intensive charge/discharge testing, PV inverter voltage testing, and wind-power generation monitoring.

Current test method

The line current applied to the motor and any control or regulating equipment shall be measured in the line connection. For three-phase motor testing, the line current of each phase of the motor shall be measured. If the line currents of the three phases are unequal, the arithmetic mean is used when calculating motor performance from the test data.

Voltage test method

Voltage values are read directly in the line connection; measurement is performed only when the voltage imbalance of the rated-voltage variation does not exceed 5% of the rated voltage. Three-phase motor testing is performed only when from ... The percentage voltage imbalance equals 100 times the maximum voltage deviation from the average voltage divided by the average voltage.
