Company Overview
Chauvin Arnoux, headquartered near Paris, is one of France's oldest and most respected electrical-measurement manufacturers, founded in 1893. Through its Chauvin Arnoux and Metrix brands the company supplies multimeters, installation testers, thermal cameras, oscilloscopes and portable measurement instruments used by electricians, maintenance teams and laboratories across Europe and beyond.
History
Founded by Raphaël Chauvin and René Arnoux in the late nineteenth century, the company grew with the electrification of France, supplying ammeters, voltmeters and insulation testers through successive generations of technology. The twentieth century brought electronic instruments and the Metrix brand for laboratory and industrial electronics, including portable oscilloscopes and generators. Today the group remains family-controlled and French.
Strengths
More than 130 years of metrology experience shows in product robustness and safety design: CAT-rated inputs, practical ergonomics for field use, and strong compliance documentation.
